About Us

Rooted in local wisdom yet unafraid to innovate, Giriwana offers performances that blend classical dance, mythological storytelling, and contemporary expression—designed to connect modern audiences with the soul of Bali.

At the heart of our work is "Dhagdwug Subali Sugriva Dance", an original creation that reimagines an epic from the Ramayana through body percussion, movement, and minimalistic theatrical form. Our performances are held every Saturday at Raja Bali – Balinese Authentic Restaurant & Activities in South Kuta, offering an intimate cultural evening for those seeking authenticity, artistry, and emotional connection.

We are not just a performance group—we are a living community of artists, educators, and cultural stewards. Through workshops, collaborations, and shows, Giriwana nurtures the next generation of Balinese performers while inviting global audiences to experience the richness and relevance of Balinese mythology today.
